| I have lived at this complex for a little over five years and wanted to write a fair review that highlights some of the good and the bad:
Good: -By Far the Greatest Location in Downtown Living (buses, trains, taxi's are all right in front of the building) -Pleasant Front Desk Staff & Leasing Staff -Nice Lobby Entrance (finally added seating)! -Management seems eager to improve the facilities (see my bad comments) -Complimentary Services like Newspapers, Coffee, etc... -Well, we used to have an indoor dry cleaner...We use an outside service. I still consider this a good. -Great convenience store in the lower lobby. They even cater for parties and have movie rentals. -Coming Soon...new gym! I am surely hoping the equipment will be upgraded. I used to buy a membership for it and the equipment was not worth it. -Upgraded fire safety equipment. I like safety! -Package delivery directly to your apartment.
Bad -Tenant quality has declined. I am beginning to question the criteria for tenant selection. I have now witnessed loud fights in the hallways, persons sitting in the halls late at night, marks on the walls and elevators, etc.... This is a pretty exclusive building and not cheap. Is management monitoring the number of persons living in each apartment. It's not a dormitory! -I love pets however, I have recently smelled urine in the elevators and walked away with about 6 flea bites during the summer -Newsletters sent to tenants are filled with incomplete sentences and just plain bad english. In addition, the tone of the letters and postings are quite rude at times. -The noise level is insane! Management claims they are improving apartments and work on them as they become vacant but offers no relief or incentive to tenants who must bear the noise until construction is completed. This includes 8am wake up calls and 6pm hammering. By the way, sound from Millenium Park does make its way into our units. Maybe management should consider speaking to a city gov. official on this one. -As mentioned in my good section, management does seem to be eager to improve the building conditions. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be happening at a rate that tenants expect. Carpet in the hallways are torn and faded, one of the main tenant elevators is being used to cart construction materials and freight during the after hours, elevators tend to be broken frequently causing long delays, and hallway sconces and notices are torn off of most walls. Get rid of the wallpaper and replace that carpet Mgt!
