I have lived in this place on and off, totalling three years, as a student of IIT. The management is very racist to people of Asian origin, treats people like dirt, and feel like they are doing a favor to tenants.
The elevators are extremely bad. I personally warned a friend not to buy a condo in the unit, just because of elevators, and now that he has, he has been slapped with a huge assessment for changing the elevators.
About crime, the back side of the buildings (ironically facing Michigan Ave, the name on the buildings address) is not monitored by security AT ALL. Cars keep getting broken into, and people (including myself) have been physically assaulted by goons from the neighborhood. However, security still doesnt do any rounds there.
Maintenance: a shower was not replaced for a few months. |
