There was a fire that destroyed several of the units within that same period. Management provided no information on the fire - including the cause. I only knew about it because of the smell of smoke in my unit and the emergency vehicles in the alley. There was no effort made regarding my clothes that smelled like smoke as a result of the fire (several floors away from the location of the fire).

When it comes to faulty (and expensive - $1.50 for a wash and $1.25 for a dry) laundry units, there is no recourse. The units are new and in very good condition. There are signs posted that you must wait several minutes between starting washing machines or the pipes will flood (it happens fairly often). If a machine takes your money due to a system malfunction or a faulty machine, they simply don't know who to call. Period.

Management turnover is very high which can leave you in a bad situation if youre in midst of an issue. Once the new team comes in you must start all over again.

On a humorous note, management would periodically post announcements in the elevators or throughout the building. Tenants would often make their contribution to these announcements by correcting the poor grammar and punctuation.

There is no charge to use the freight elevator.

Dont plan on having repairs made while youre home unless you can get home by 3:30pm during the week.

Dont ever dream of creating any goodwill with building management by paying your rent on time and being tolerant of difficulties they may create  its strictly a one way street with these people. Ive never heard someone cite their rights so many times during a conversation. Yet theyre so nice and informal when they want to enter your apartment without giving you your 2-day written notice.

Im not sure how they apply the paint in the units because Ive never seen such large spots of peeling paint just hanging there. They were quite a sight!

Ive never actually been into the bike storage area but Ive heard from a fellow tenant that its quite the scary place.
