Apartment Review
3410 North Lake Shore Drive
Review Date: 6/3/2009

I have lived in 3410 for a couple of years and this is what I have to say about it: Don't move in. Don't rent an apartment there. Pay the extra money, go up the street to a nicer building; you'll be thankful you passed on this side show. It isn't so much that the building is a problem; it's the condo owners and the building managers. MOST of the building is in fine shape. They've redone the laundry room and it looks nice. They're fixing the elevators which is fine. The workout room is adequate (but by no means spectacular), and maintenance is friendly. The condo owners, however, the precious precious condo owners treat anyone under the age of 30 like dirt. I've received so many dirty looks from my "neighbors" and been chastised for nothing whatsoever just walking through the foyer. They're jerks. Now onto management. Yes, Schlomo Osher. They are the #1 reason why I say do not bother with 3410. They will give you the runaround at every turn. The roof of the building leaks into the apartments. It took YEARS for them to listen to the poor people on the 17th floor and actually fix it (note: the entire 17th floor is renters- coincidence?). Don't get me wrong- if the elevator breaks, or one of the condo owners suggests a repair they get right on it. Just don't live on the 17th floor- I'm glad I didn't. My biggest complaint however is that management is a bunch of dirtbags. They will treat you like crap; unless you complain the loudest they will not listen. And even then they will only tell you lies to get you to shut up- especially if you're a woman. Just don't bother. It's an adequate building with overinflated prices and jerks in the office. Move over to St. Ben's instead.
