Do NOT Rent from Harmony Management - Lee Harris
Review Date: 8/27/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
We lived at 1947 N. Cleveland Avenue from 2007-2008. Lee Harris was the absolute worst landlord. Before moving INTO the apartment, we got a call from the previous tenant telling us that a rain storm caused a huge leak in the ceiling in the kitchen and that no had repaired it. I called Harmony Management, and they said they would "send someone out there." When no one went to look at the huge hole in the ceiling, I took bigger action. I work at a law firm and had an attorney draft a letter to Lee stating if he didn't fix the leak, we would withhold rent. He finally fixed the roof. Once we moved in, we had numerous problems with heating and cooling -- out gas and electric bills for $200 for a small 800 sq foot apartment -- something clearly wasn't right. When you move in and out of the apartment, Harmony Management DOES NOT do anything. They expect you to get the keys from the previous tenant and you give the keys to the new tenant. They don't clean the apartment or anything. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 1947 N. Cleveland Avenue may be a great location, but the units and the service is NOT WORTH IT. |
