Apartment Review for 531 West Deming Place - Chicago, IL

I have been living in a newly remodled apartment in this building for nine months. My place is very clean. My kitchen and bath are up to date and I haven't had any huge repair issues. Maintenance is done right away. The heat is included in the rent, and in the winter months, my place is very warm. Laundry room is very nice, but the machines are pricy. Big minus about this building is that the walls are very, very thin. If you happen to live next to one of those people that can't tolorate noise, they will cringe everytime you walk on your creaking floors. If you are someone who is not used to living in a city apartment, the noise level may be an issue. Second minus is that one of the two elevators is always out of order, but the landlord seams on top of fixing it. Unfortunately, the elevator just won't stay fixed. Other than those two things, living here has been a good experience. The landlords are Lakeview Associates, and they have been awesome. I have lived in seven Chicago apartment rentals in 10 years, and Lakeview has been the best leasing company I have ever had.
