Apartment Review for Beal Properties - Chicago, IL

We rented from Beal a little more than a year ago. BIG MISTAKE. They refused to finish work in the building and our apartment, they are rude and unprofessional, they kept our deposit for almost four months even though we left the unit spotless - we had to go through the city to get our deposit back. They hire non union contractors who do not build to chicago code. They didn't fix the back gate so when I threw out the trash bums would hit on me. They didn't fix the buzzer to our apt for the last 6 months we were there. They didn't pick up the trash often enough so the bums would fight the rats for our garbage scraps. We've rented from six or seven different owners over the last 12 years of living in the city WITHOUT ONE SINGLE BAD REFERENCE. we are fair and reasonable people, too bad the owners and office people @ Beal Properrties aren't. I regret being unable to leave negative ratings. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!
