Apartment Review for Bil-Mar Properties - Chicago, IL

I wish I had enough time to go through all the problems with renting from Bil Mar. First of all, if you live here, dont expect ANYTHING to ever get fixed...EVER!!! The furnace stopped working in the middle of winter for me and it took them 5 days to replace it. In January. This year, my heating bills were 300 in december and january!!! I never had the heat above 70!!! Bob, the property manager is a complete douchebag, totally incompetant at his job, and the only time you'll hear from him is when he wants to play tough guy and try and threaten and bully you into submission. There is a DJ in the building who likes to blast shitty house music all the time, a dude who likes to smoke weed in the doorway of the building (guess he can smoke it in his house??) and people's cars have been vandalized in the parking lot. Oh and people who live here also like to throw their trash all over the place in the entryway. Nice! They also like to leave passive aggressive notes about stuff they dont like on the doors and by the mailboxes. They dont clean the apartments before you rent, they wont fix problems in the apartments when they occur, and if you ask them for a copy of your lease they tell you they are mailing it and it never arrives!!! and then Bob will call you to harass you about why you need a copy of your lease. This place sucks. seriously, avoid at all costs.
