Apartment Review for Fremont Sheridan Properties - Chicago, IL

The management of this building is appalling. The office is hardly ever manned, which repeatedly results in undelivered packages. When the delivery person is actually able to drop off packages, I can never pick them up because the office is hardly ever open. It is not in the best neighborhood, though it is not unsafe to walk around at night either. However, security is a joke. Jeff, the security person is extremely rude, drinks continuously, and would ignore me for 5 minutes when I asked him for something before he even looks at me. The management is not at all accountable and appear to come and go whenever they please. When I finally got in contact with the manager (Gina, I think), she informed me that the office had moved months ago. Apparently they did not find it necessary to inform their residents of this change, or that this was why they never received their packages or could contact a manager. Because the maintenance was good and the rent reasonable, I decided to renew my lease. I had to actually call the manager many times for over a month to get the paperwork done. To top the cake, when we moved out 9 months ago, the management still owed me $700 dollars in overpaid rent, and I have yet to see a penny of it. I was told that the check would be sent to me. I am considering suing them to get the money back.
