Apartment Review for Lake Shore Plaza - Chicago, IL

I've rented 3 apartments in the downtown area, and by far this one was the worst. At least one elevator is always not working, sometimes even 3 of the 4 are out. Also, you cannot bring guests to the pool without them paying $5 each and going to the management office (open 9to 5 wkdays and 9 to 1 wknds) within 24 hours of each visit to sign a form first. If you work the same hours you and your guest either have to miss out on work just to use the pool that day or the next day, or you are just screwed. Also, they took out each units screens as soon as it was nice out which was supposed to be a 1 week project and did not get them back until 3 1/2 weeks later. When I called I was told they were short staffed and didn't meet their deadline. You cannot open your windows without letting in quater-sized lake spiders so i was forced to keep my windows shut, in the beginning of summer. Also, i was double booked (2x) to use the frieght elevator during moves, because the staff can't seem to schedule things okay, and the management staff is not really too concerned about this. Also there is a 40 lock out fee if you locked your keys... not the average 10$ that I paid at other places. The only three things i liked about this place were 1) the friendly door/security staff, 2) it's not bad priced and 3) the location.
