Apartment Review for Midway Gardens Apartments - Chicago, IL

I have lived at Midway Gardens for a year and a half, and I love my apartment. I have a gorgeous view of the city skyline and Washington Park. I moved in the building because it is only a 20 minute bus ride to downtown Chicago were I am currently employed. I have not had any problems with the Management company or the maintenance in my building. Everyone has been very nice to me. I have a beautiful, renovated apartment and I have never felt like my safety was an issue at Midway Gardens. Shortly after I moved in, there was a rent increase, but it did not effect me until it was time to renew my lease back in September 2009. There were a lot of people that were confused and thought that there rents would go up the very next month, but it wasn't until it was time to renew. I feel that my apartment is worth the amount I pay for rent. If I felt any differently I would move. Many of the people that moved out of the building were evicted or behind in their rent. Most of the people that remain in the building are good, hard working, professionals who pay their rent on time. The building is going to be even better, since we will be getting a brand new fitness center and a key card entry system in the next few weeks. I think Midway Gardens is a great building!
