AHHHH! It sucks!!

Ok. So the location rocks no doubt...and that is the only reason this place is still in business. I think every year people get suckered in thinking its close to the subway, its close to the metra, its next to the park. but really people location does not an apartment experience make. there are loads of buildings around this area. pick any one. i haven't heard nearly as bad stuff about them as MPP. so the people you work with to sign your lease, they seem nice right? well they aren't the ones you will deal with EVER again in your stay. the property management is a different office and they are worse than the DMV (my former definition of hell). the treat tenants like dirt. then the facilities are crap. the building is surrounded by cracked pavement, the heating/cooling system in our apt does not work, the laundry area is nasty, the elevators are slow, the smell is horrible, the dogs are loud, the drains don't drain, tv channels disappear and reappear randomly, internet (wireless) doesn't work reliably...this list goes on. so if you want to be downtown, dont' get enticed by the location and leasing people like we did. its down hill from the moment your signature lands on the lease. |
