Versailles is a pretty place to live but I do not recommend moving here, especially if you have children. Sexual offender by the name of Craig Shell lives here, victim was under 14. Look up the zip code 60181 on the Illinois sex offender registry, and you will see full details. I complained to the management office, but nothing was done. Why would the management rent an apartment to a convicted sexual predator in a child-friendly environment? I don't know either. At Versailles, there is a baseball diamond, a park district building, a splash pad for young children, bike trails, not to mention the clubhouse, the pools and a children's park on the premises. Sounds like a perfect place for child? Guess again - it was a safe place for a child to live. Not anymore! The management company is so desperate for rentals that they will rent to just about anyone. Including sexual predators! I have a ten year old and am moving out asap because of this.
