There was an entire year where my front door did not lock. The water in the building is fairly frequently shut off with no notice. The landlord's solution to massive quantities of mold is to paint over it. Sometimes you receive calls on the 5th of the month asking if you paid your rent, and you have to remind the landlord that yes, you did. You cannot have a dog, but there is a huge one in the building next door who loves to bark for extended periods of time at nothing. It has the feeling of a building the landlord is trying to run into the ground completely to squeeze as much rent out of it as possible before gutting it and converting it into condos. The radiant heat dries out your skin in winter, and there are not enough breakers, so using the microwave dims the bathroom lights. The living room, bedroom, and dining room are all on one breaker. UPS often won't deliver because the driver fears the cicada killers which fill the front walkway area. The landlord always says it will be taken care of, they never are, and it repeats the next summer. The one positive is the amount of space for the price. But for that you have to put up with neighbors who are fussy and complain about noise but then have domestic spats late at night.
