Apartment Review for Winthrop Tower - Chicago, IL

If you are a poor college student, this place might seem ok. But for a working professionally, I would say spend just a little more and get something nicer. Since it's an old building, it's radiator heat and you have NO control over temp. There are frequently problems getting hot water in the kitchen and bathroom. Paying for parking is a total rip-off - $120 for the a parking space half the size of a normal space (making it difficult to get in and out of your car). And finally, the elevators are frequently broken and generally in poor repair. This might not be a problem if you are on a lower floor, but on the 12th floor it becomes a real pain.
