Apartment Review for Winthrop Tower - Chicago, IL

Good: Cheap, Big room, No pet fee, Parking available, and Package never lost (but newspaper lost all the time) Bad: -Building: The two elevators are always out of order. I have bad hot water and plumbing problem which needs to fix almost every month. In the winter, Heater is not on all the time like other buildings and it has no temp adjustment. They normally turn on at 4AM, 5PM, and 9PM. Everyone, I talked to, must purchase his/her own heater. They have pest problem in the building. -Janitor/Building Manager: So unprofessional and Unfriendly! They do not care if something is broken. It takes them a week to fix my leaking toilet. -Management Company: Terrible. Never care all your issues. Never return your call even I did leave them many messages. Once you finally talked to a person, she will tell you that " I have no authorize! Talk to Vice President and we will call you back" THAT IS IT! -Parking is expensive for outdoor with no gate and no security. They do not plow the snow especially in the morning and at night. It is difficult to get the car in and out from the lot. There are many many times that we have to help each others to push cars in and out of the lots!
